The Port of Los Angeles is an exciting place. It is like a city within a city with our own police department, tens of thousands of employees reporting for work every day and massive terminal operations loading and unloading everything from tennis shoes to crude oil to pallets of fruit. The Port of Los Angeles is truly America's Port and serves as the gateway for the majority of all consumer goods that enter and exit this country every year. The Port invites you and your student group to join us for a fun and educational Waterfront '08 Summer Youth Program. This summer, Port staff are organizing a three-day camp designed for 10- to 14-year-old children interested in exploring everything we do at the Port. Learn more about historical landmarks, local wildlife and environmental conservation programs. Come join us and get a closer look at how we manage the largest seaport in the United States.

Dates: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; July 7-31, 2008
Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Criteria: Attendees must be between the ages of 10-14 years old. 10:1 student/adult (21 years or older) ratio is required.
